Prognostic value of inflammation-based indices in patients with resected hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract Background As is well recognized that inflammation plays a crucial role in the genesis and progression of various cancer. Here we investigate prognostic value novel index: combination neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio platelet distribution width (coNLR-PDW) post-operation patients with resectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was utilized determine optimal cutoff values continuous variables, including neutrophil-lymphocyte (NLR) (PDW). Kaplan-Meier method Log-rank test were used compare survival differences across three groups stratified by coNLR-PDW score. Univariate multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analyses adopted identify independent factors HCC patient’s prognosis.
